Key positions filled at FTLM
The FTLM’s communications team announced the appointment of Mogaramedi Makgata as the municipal manager (MM) and Lesley Makgopa as the chief financial officer (CFO).
Two key managerial positions at the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) were recently filled during an ordinary council meeting at the municipal chamber.
The FTLM’s communications team announced the appointment of Mogaramedi Makgata as the municipal manager (MM) and Lesley Makgopa as the chief financial officer (CFO).
“The appointments are effective as from November 1. This is a major achievement for the council, as both incumbents are internal staff members. Makgata previously served as the CFO of the municipality while Makgopa was budget reporting and compliance manager, and also acted as a supply chain manager,” said the spokesperson, Thabiso Mokoena.
FTLM’s mayor, Eddie Maila, has welcomed the two appointments and congratulated the incumbents on their new responsibilities.
“The FTLM is hopeful that the appointees will hit the ground running, steer the institution in a right direction, focus their attention on service delivery challenges and ensure that the audit opinion outcomes are improved to clean audit opinion.”
