RAL renovates more streets in Burgersfort
The repairs in Burgersfort commenced in Aloe Street, to the excitement of road users who commended this initiative.
The Road Agency Limpopo’s (RAL) municipal road development intervention continued in Limpopo municipalities on April 24.
Being one of the signatories to a memorandum of agreement (MoA) to this effect, the Fetakgomo Tubatse
Local Municipality’s (FTLM) streets in Burgersfort and nearby residential areas are currently being rehabilitated to make driving safer and efficient.
The aim of the MoA entered into by RAL and 10 local municipalities aims to assist municipalities with technical capacity and expertise towards road construction.
This is to ensure quality road infrastructure across the five districts of Limpopo, including municipal
jurisdictions.

The repairs in Burgersfort commenced in Aloe Street, to the excitement of road users who commended this initiative.
The work will be extended onto the R37 leading to the Burgersfort CBD. Ficus and Kube streets will also be upgraded.
The scope of work in Burgersfort’s residential streets include pothole patching, asphalt surfacing and edge break repairs.
“The provision of quality and sustainable provincial road infrastructure for the economic development of Limpopo
remains RAL’s mission,” said RAL’s spokesperson, Maropeng Manyathela.
FTLM and nine other municipalities, namely Ba-Phalaborwa, Polokwane, Elias Motsoaledi, Bela-Bela, Musina,
Collins Chabane, ModimolleMookgophong, Ephraim Mogale and Makhado local municipalities, are all
signatories to the MoA.
