N4 eastbound at Elands Valley closed as accident scene is cleared
The recovery of two wreckages following an accident between two trucks on the N4 at Elands Valley has resulted in the closure of the road.

The N4 eastbound at Elands Valley has been closed due to the removal of wrecks following an accident between two trucks on Tuesday morning, May 16.
TRAC’s Solange Soares said the accident occurred between Marlothi Chalets and the Malaga Hotel, when a truck drove off the road while attempting to avoid crashing in to another truck that was stationary in the emergency lane.
She said no fatalities were reported.

Soares said the wreckages had not interfered with the flow of traffic, but that in order for the scene to be cleared the eastbound lanes were closed. The recovery process started at 13:00.
She said the N4 Schoemanskloof can be used as an alternative route.
