Ethiopian man fatally shot in Acornhoek
The victim was shot multiple times and was declared dead at scene by paramedics.

The police in Acornhoek are investigating an incident in which an Ethiopian man (42) was fatally shot by suspects that are unknown to the police at this stage. The incident occured on Sunday, July 2 at 20:00 at Sigagule Trust.
A provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said the police in Acornhoek, as well as the paramedics, received information about a man who was shot inside his vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene they found a lifeless body of an Ethiopian national inside a blue Toyota Corolla. He had sustained gunshot wounds and was declared dead by the paramedics.

“Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the victim was shot multiple times and the vehicle was also riddled with bullet holes. The identity of the victim will be revealed in due course.”
“The police also discovered that the battery of the motor vehicle was missing and it could have been stolen,” he said.

Mohlala said the motive of the killing is unknown at this stage, however, the investigation continues.
