Year-long water leak being repaired in Mbombela

As part of the repairs, an emergency supply shutdown is planned for this Saturday, July 8, from 07:00 to 15:00.

Silulumanzi is in the process of repairing a water leak which had been ongoing for the past 12 months.
It is also rebuilding the drainage system in Meidlinger Street.

This comes after business owners in the area volunteered to fix the leaking pipes and rebuild the drainage system after, according to them, they had called the water utility several times to fix the problem and nothing happened.
Silulumanzi spokesperson, Richmond Jele, said it is aware of the leak and is in the process of repairing it. He also said it has already appointed a contractor and the job is expected to be finished by Friday July 7. According to him, Silulumanzi visited the area and allocated a budget for the repairs.
