Help save breadwinner Petronella’s life

The 25-year-old mother has been diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and needs to find a matching stem cell donor.

A 25-year-old mother, daughter, sister, and former police officer, Petronella, has been diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and needs to find a matching stem cell donor for a second chance at life.

There currently isn’t a matching donor for her on the global stem cell registry. If you are between the ages of 17 to 55 and aren’t a registered stem cell donor, you could be her match. Register now at dkms-africa.org/ Petronella-needs-you!

Petronella is the second born in a family of six members and she’s the primary breadwinner with a big family and a two-year-old son who looks up to her. Since her diagnosis she’s not been able to work so the income that her family depends on has been significantly affected and she now has limited medical aid benefits.

She’s currently receiving treatment in a hospital that’s hours away from her family and the distance and cost of travel make it hard for them to visit her.

Even with everything she’s faced, her main concern is the well-being of her son and her family. She mostly worries about their financial well-being and the emotional impact this is having on them. She prays that she’ll find a matching donor and reach transplant so that she can make sure that they are taken care of the way they deserve.

You could be the beacon of hope for Petronella and her family. Register as a stem cell donor today www.dkms-africa.org or join us this Saturday, April 20, at the Prophetic House of Worship, Nkanini, from 09:00 to 14:00 to give her a second chance at life.
