Mbojomane donates school shoes and stationary to Legapane pupils
Mbojomane not only donated the shoes and stationery, they have committed to grading the roads leading to the school and improving both the netball and soccer grounds.
Mbojomane Plant & Transport Hire donated school shoes to all 400 pupils at Legapane Primary School in Stocking on January 19. The learners’ eyes lit up and smiles spread across their faces as they collected their new shoes, each offering a grateful ‘thank you.’
In addition to school shoes, the company also gifted the learners stationery packs, which included books, pens, pencils, erasers, scissors, rulers, and other essential school supplies.
Speaking during the handover, the directors of Mbojomane said the school holds a special place in their hearts.
“The late entrepreneur and founder of Mbojomane Plant & Transport Hire, Jeff Mabuza, completed his primary school years at Legapane. We saw it fit to give back to this school, just as Jeff would have done. This is also to encourage the pupils and show them that it is possible to succeed and become a successful businessman, like Jeff, after studying at Legapane.”

To support the learners further, Mbojomane has committed to grading the roads leading to the school and improving both the netball and soccer grounds, encouraging pupils to focus on sports.
Jason Mabuza, director at Mbojomane expressed gratitude to God for enabling the company to assist the learners.
“I applaud the school management team for allowing us to support these children.”
Michelle Mabuza added as she spoke about the children. “Seeing the joy on these learners’ faces touched our hearts deeply. For some, these shoes and stationery mean hope, dignity, and the confidence to walk into the classroom without feeling less than others. We want every child here to know that they are seen, they are loved and their future matters. Legapane Primary School raised a legend, who was my father, and today we are simply planting seeds that we hope will grow into greatness.”

The school management was overjoyed by the donations. Principal MB Mashego said: “We have pupils from various family backgrounds, but these gifts ensure they all start on an equal footing. No more worn-out shoes for our pupils. The icing on the cake is that every child received shoes and stationery. We are indeed blessed and thank Mbojomane for choosing our school. We will take good care of these gifts.”
The school management also highlighted ongoing challenges with donations.
“We often request support from local companies, but our appeals are declined as we fall under the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, not the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality. We hope local companies in Steelpoort and surrounding areas will consider us when distributing support.”
