SPONSORED | Groothoef Learning Centre hosts golf fundraiser in White River

Fun and fundraising for a good cause were the order of the day at White River Country Club for the Groothoef Learning Centre’s golf day.

The Groothoef Learning Centre hosted a fundraising golf day at White River Country Club on Friday, March 7.

Golfers took to the course in a friendly competition. The day featured various challenges, including the longest drive contest and closest to the pin, with prizes awarded to the top performers.

The event provided a great opportunity for players to enjoy a round of golf while supporting a meaningful cause. After the tournament, guests gathered for a supper, where they reflected on the day and the impact of their contributions.

Groothoef Learning Centre extends its sincere appreciation to all those who participated, as well as the generous sponsors and donors who made the event possible. This includes all the parents who made donations and offered support, Fina of Remax Lifestyle Estate, Dewald of Plaston Butchery, Biaton Paving, Beverley of Forms Media Independent, Rob of White River Glass & Aluminium and BUCO White River.

Their support will assist the centre in continuing its educational programmes and providing valuable resources for learners.

As a Christian-based learning institution, Groothoef Learning Centre is committed to fostering a supportive environment for its pupils. The school offers tutoring from grades one to eight, as well as remedial education, special needs support, and pre-GED and GED assistance.

Additionally, it provides after-school tutoring and enrichment programmes to ensure pupils receive well-rounded academic support.

The learning centre looks forward to future fundraising efforts and events, continuing its mission of making a difference in the lives of young learners.
