Nkomazi mayor shocked at Madiba’s passing

"No one ever prepared for death," says Cllr Thulisile Khoza.

MALALANE – News of the passing of Nelson Mandela has come as a shock to the executive mayor of Nkomazi, Cllr Thulisile Khoza.
Khoza said despite being aware of his health condition, no one can ever be prepared for death.

She said “As much as we were aware of Tata Madiba’s health condition, this came as a shock because you don’t get used to death. So it is with great sadness that we received news of Tata’s passing. It is a great lose the entire African and entire world, since we no longer recongised him as our own alone. He was and  still is an international icon, so what is left us is to by all means to try and  ensure by all means that what he believed in, we sustain. And also work harder  than before to achieve his goals for the country.”

Khoza extended the municipality’s condolences and gratitude to the Mandela family saying “No one can ever be really ready for the departure of a loved one. That is why we will keep the Madiba family in our prayers at all times. We are also grateful towards them as a nation, if not the world, for allowing him to lead us. Thank you Tata and may your soul rest in peace,”
