MBOMBELA – A truck burst into flames this afternoon on the N4 near the Sudwala Caves turnoff and Schoemanskloof.
According to Ms Solange Soares Nicholson, media and communications manager for TRAC, the cause of the incident was still unknown. However, the driver had escaped without injuries.
Emergency services, traffic control and Van Wettens towing services were on the scene and the fire was extinguished shortly after 15:00. The westbound lanes were closed down, but are now open.
