LOW’S CREEK – Heavy machinery and equipment were delivered on Thursday at Lily Mine to assist with the rescue mission.

The mine management announced yesterday that a new shaft had to be drilled as there was only one entry and exit point to the mine.

Today marks thirteen days since Solomon Nyarende, Pretty Nkambule and Yvonne Mnisi, were trapped after the lamp-room container in which they were working was swallowed up and buried when a section of the mine collapsed on February 5.IMG-20160218-WA0005 IMG-20160218-WA0002 IMG-20160218-WA0004

The mine also mentioned that the mission will take two to three weeks.
