“Rape is a serious crime. I encourage all community members to stop protecting the culprits in rape cases. The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is available 24 hours to report incidents,” said Capt Freddy Moganwe, commander of the unit.
A resident, Ms Anelda van der Walt said she was thankful to the police who were taking these criminals off the streets. “Having my own daughter, I always fear the worst can happen to her and having these violent criminals behind bars, gives me peace of mind. The police must keep up the great work.”
