BURGERSFORT – The remaining body of a teenage girl that was swept away by the Tubatse River during the weekend was found.

On Friday, Orabile Tau and Tshepang Sello, both aged 14, were swept away by the river near Ga-Phasha. According to a source the two girls were on their way home from school when it happend.

On Saturday, police managed to recover Sello’s body, but Tau was yet to be found. The search for Tau continued on Monday and by 15:00, Const Victoria Maluleka, Burgersfort police spokesperson confirmed that the police divers found Tau’s body near the Steelpoort Bridge, almost 20 km from where they drowned.
