Just a week after finding the bodies of two boys who drowned in the Tubatse River, another two victims were swept down this very river this weekend, one died and the other is still missing

BURGERSFORT – Just a week after finding the bodies of two boys who drowned in the Tubatse River, another two victims were swept down this very river this weekend, one died and the other is still missing.

Clifford Ngwato (10) and Tshepiso Maole (12) drowned on March 5 near Ga-Motodi Village. Ngwato went to swim with his friends, but when he struggled to resurface Maole went to rescue him, the river claimed them both.

On Friday another incident involving the Tubatse River took place when Orabile Tau and Tshehlo Sello, both aged 14, were swept away by the river near Ga-Phasha. According to a source the two girls were on their way home from school when it happend.

On Saturday, police managed to recover Sello’s body, but Tau is yet to be found. The search for Tau continues and with water levels subsiding police say they are condifent that her body will be recovered.
