The 27-year-old man briefly appeared in court today.

However, the man that arrived at court covered his face with a balaklava, which he wore while leaving the premises as well.

No member of the public was allowed in the courtroom when the 27-year-old suspect appeared.

Magistrate Winnie Baloyi said the accused would appear in camera.  The reason for this was that the police had not yet conducted the formal identity parade involving the man.
