Three people have been killed and one person has sustained minor injuries after a bakkie carrying wood rolled on the R36 direction Orichstad, Lydenburg.
When Netcare911 paramedics and other emergency services arrived on scene they found all the occupants of the bakkie lying a few metres away. It seems as though they were all flung out of the bakkie as a result of the impact of the crash.
Tragically, three people died on the scene and were declared dead by paramedics. One person sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by the Provincial EMS for further medical care.
This accident happened on Wednesday night at about 18:00 on the R36 which was closed for a few hours.
