Two injured in accident on N4 and Kaapsehoop road

At this time, the cause of the accident must still be confirmed.

MBOMBELA – Two people were injured in a car accident at the intersection of the Samora Machel (N4) and Kaapsehoop avenues late this afternoon.

The Mbombela Traffic Department, ambulances and the police raced to the sene, where they found that a black sedan had pushed over a traffic light pole.  The sedan was badly damaged.  A white Toyota Tazz was also involved in the accident and was dented as well.  The wrecks were positioned on either side of the N4.

Innibos festival goers were urged to use the R40 as an alternative route to the festival grounds.  “Rather travel via the R40, turn right into Enos Mabuza avenue, right in Figtree street and right into Geelhout avenue,” Lowvelder previously advised.

According to van Wettens towing services’ Mr Willem Swart, two had been injured in the accident.  “One was in a serious condition and the other, a woman, incurred less serious injuries.”

At this time, the cause of the accident must still be confirmed.
