MBOMBELA – A man died after setting himself alight in a house in Steiltes early Sunday morning.

Police say he doused himself with petrol inside the house’s main bedroom.

Mbombela police spokesman, Capt Dawie Pretorius confirmed the incident.

“I can confirm that one male died after he burnt himself. We have opened a case of arson, at this stage police investigations are continuing,” said Pretorius.
