MBOMBELA – The search for a 76-year-old man who went missing last night while he was attending a wedding in the Lowveld Botanical Gardens, continues.

According to the wife of Mr Nick Wiesmann, Bettina, he went to their rental vehicle at about 18:15.

The Swede was on his way to the Ford Figo on the right, but failed to return.

“He went to fetch a jacket and we have not seen him since,” she said.

Wiesmann added that her husband suffers from sporadic memory loss.

After having searched the Botanical Gardens last night, a search party returned to the scene this morning.

According to Bossie’s Community Justice’s Mr Albert Gryvenstein, another thorough search of the gardens revealed no trace of the man.
