Elderly man robbed on smallholding

Items worth R 416 000 were stolen.

MBOMBELA – The police are searching for three suspects after a senior citizen was robbed yesterday.

According to a police press release issued today, a 63-year old man from Sterkspruit and his employee were attacked and tied up on the man’s smallholding.

They freed themselves and discovered that the safe in tha man’s house had been opened.  Seven firearms were taken from it.

A camera, a wrist watch, laptop and a cell phone was also missing from the home. The elderly man’s Nissan Juke had been stolen, but was recovered between Sabie and White River.
