MBOMBELA – For the men of Bossie’s Community Justice (BCJ), saving and securing is a daily activity. A quick look at their highlights of the last two weeks serve as a reminder that these two men – who perform their selfless service free of charge – deserve to be in our prayers.
BCJ had been instrumental in the search for missing person, Nick Wiesmann. He had disappeared from the Lowveld Botanical Garden on September 17.
For a week BCJ, the police, security companies and community members searched the garden and surrounding areas.
His body was found in a rocky part of the Crocodile River on September 21.
Albert Gryvenstein, WO Danie Theron and Lt Col Erhard Ströh made the discovery after the search was officially called off.
“We could not bring ourselves to stop searching,” Albert told Lowvelder.

Last Tuesday BCJ was deployed at the Mpumalanga University where students were protesting. Rubber bullets were used by the police to disperse the students. Calm was restored.

Last Wednesday Jean-Pierre Holder and Tommie Enslin were arrested for possessing CAT and LSD. Their alleged dealer, Henry Onyeka Ozoemenam, was also arrested.
Although many of BCJ’s victories make newspaper headlines, there are many cases that don’t.
“Between the published cases, we also attend to other crime scenes and investigations,” said Danie. Albert added that different crimes follow one after the other. “We had a missing-woman case on Friday. During the week, we receive many other calls for burglaries, robberies and other serious crimes,” said Gryvenstein.
