The unrest commenced last night at the Witklip crossing. Police are on the scene as well as TCLM officials.
The cause for the uproar is allegedly due to Thaba Chweu Local Municipality having cut Coromandel’s electricity due to wrongful payment. Police are being thrown with rocks and shots have been fired. Update to follow soon.
