According to Callum McPherson from Hi-Tech Security, they received information from Nelspruit Concerned Citizens about a car that had allegedly been stolen in Barberton.

“We put out a vehicle at the Hermansburg turn-off to block the car coming from Barberton. Other security vehicles were dispatched along the N4 to monitor the Malalane side.

Later information was received that the vehicle in question had passed the Hermansburg turn-off.

The officers tried to stop it, but the driver sped away and was pulled off after a car chase, on Enos Mabuza Drive.
