Help find missing 7-year-old Bushbuckridge boy

He was visiting his father in Shanganhill, Bushbuckridge at the time of his disappearance.

Police are investigating a case of a missing child. Bokang Wiseman Mpangane went missing in Shanganhill, Bushbuckridge on Friday, October 3.

According to the SAPS, on Friday at around 22:00, the mother of the missing child received a call from the boy’s father informing her that the child has disappeared.

A Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Sergeant Thulisile Magagula, said after the father informed the mother, the matter was immediately reported to the police and a search was conducted, however, they did not find the child.

She said the family does not know what the child was wearing at the time he disappeared.

Magagula said the matter has since been assigned to the Acornhoek Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit for further investigation.

She said SAPS is appealing to anyone who has information that could assist in locating Bokang to come forward.
“Please contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Abrevation Mzimba, on 076 243 6370, or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111. Information can also be submitted via the My SAPS app.”

Magagula said information received will be treated with the confidentiality and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
