Mbombela weather: Residents report destruction following Croc Valley storm

Rain with extreme “spiralling” winds and hail damage property in Croc Valley.

According to a resident, heavy rain with hail and extreme winds left devastation in Croc Valley, Mbombela, today, February 1.

Describing the aftermath of the storm, Tiaan Joubert said, “Trees are ripped apart, massive branches broken and a massive piece of tree went straight through the roof of one of our neighbours.”

He added that the wind was incredibly strong and appeared to be spiralling.
