Nkomazi FM and Sentech agree to bridge the communication gap and will soon go live

MALALANE – Last Wednesday Nkomazi FM’s executive management team met with signal-distribution service provider Sentech at the House of Prayer.
Mr Mobnelwa Ndlhomo of Sentech explained that the Mbuzini site originally consisted of a container and that it had to be upgraded to facilitate the digital broadcasting signal changes which would accommodate all media-broadcasting requirements and that this project was in line with the national strategy for broadcasting in South Africa.
Sentech agreed that there had been communication gaps in the progress updates of the Mbuzini site which had contributed to uncertainty around the much-anticipated launch date of Nkomazi FM.
The project timings were given to representatives who were in attendance and a date was finalised for handover of the signal. The service provider assured the community that the site would be completed by the end of October and that the official launch date for the station would be confirmed once the soak test had been completed.
Mr Makhosetive Zulu, station manager of Nkomazi FM, said, “We are working on the launch of Nkomazi FM and we expect to be on air by November 7, however, we urge the community to follow the media for further details.”
