SCHOEMANSDAL – Local business, Build it is considering investing in the development of soccer talent in the sub-region.

This was announced by Sohail Raja last Wednesday.

This follows a successful u/13 soccer tournament hosted by the building-material franchise, which ended this month with Zandile Primary School lifting the trophy.

According to Raja, there are a lot of talented young soccer players in the community and they hope to become a pillar of support in aid of this.

“During the soccer tournament we witnessed very talented individuals, who showed passion and desire to become professional soccer players. That is why we have decided to assist some of them,” he told Corridor Gazette.

Raja added the company would appoint a coach who would be responsible for training and development.

“The youngsters already have what it takes, now we just want to ensure that they practice often and improve their skills,” said Raja’s brother Kamran Raja.

The businessmen also want to donate soccer kits, and they hope that with the proper grooming they could develop a good soccer team.
