The Lowveld ladies had their first round of Super League bowls on November 2 at White River Bowling Club. It was a perfect day for bowls, being overcast. The teams are divided into the A and B section. Each one has six teams from various clubs. Games will be played at Nelspruit, Bungalows, Barberton and Lowveld Country Club (LVCC) over the next four weekends.
The format is teams of fours, playing 21 ends and the squad that reach 21 ends with the highest score, are the winners. This team score two points for each win and the losing one gets none. In section A round one, two White river teams had to face each other. White River A lost with one point against White River B, 15/16. LVCC lost to Barberton, 14/24. It was a tight finish when Nelspruit B beat Nelspruit A by one point, 23/22.
In the B section Bungalows had to play against Nelspruit, but the latter had the upperhand by
winning 24/17. LVCC had to conquer their own club, LVCC C but lost 9/41. White River C and White River D played like stars but the D team won the game with 22/12.
