Tubatse welcomes four New year babies

Tubatse's first New Year child was a baby girl named Mashudu Pilusa, she was born by Thembi Pilusa at 00:30

BURGERSFORT – A total of 105 New Year babies were born in Limpopo on the first day of 2014, this is according to the provincial health department spokeswoman Ms Adele van der Linde.

Local hospital Dilokong also had its fair share as four babies were born on that day. Spokesman for the hospital Mr Willliam Makola confirmed to Steelburger/ Lydenburg News that there were three boys and a girl born at the hospital.

“Our nurses worked day and night during the festive season, helping locals in giving birth to their precious little babies. We never had any hassles as all the kids are healthy, we once again proved that we put health as our first priority,” he said.

In Limpopo there were 53 boys and 52 girls born on New Year. Tshilidzini Hospital in Thohoyandou, in the Vhembe district welcomed the first baby just a few seconds after midnight, a boy weighing 3,7 kg born to Ms Doris Mahlaule.
