How to keep man’s best friend also rhino’s best friend PLUS VIDEO of Kruger ranger dogs
Man's best friend is now also rhino's best friend - keep it this way by supporting a dog food drive for a week for the KNP K9-dog unit by dropping some high performance food at special Mpumalanga drop-off points.

MBOMBELA – For all the animal lovers out there, we call on you to join the website Africa Geographic in a Dog Food Drive – For the Love of Dogs & Rhinos.
Tomorrow is #WorldRhinoDay. Support the K9 Unit in the Kruger National Park by donating food for the canine heroes in the fight against poaching.
While many of us enjoy the Kruger National Park as tourists, there are poachers somewhere in that vast wilderness and a ranger with a working dog, hot on their heels, who live in the knowledge that they might have to give up their lives for a cause bigger than themselves.
These dogs, along with their handlers and the rangers, risk their lives every day to save our precious rhinos.
Much time and money goes into training and maintaining these dogs, and many of the successful poacher arrests have been due to these hard working dogs.
One of the easiest ways to keep this four-legged force mobilised is through the donation of food. Hence the creation of a Dog Food Drive.
Get involved by dropping of a bag of food at a drop-off point near you from 22 September 2016 until the 30th of September: Please only purchase Hill’s Performance or Hill’s Advanced Fitness as this is what the dogs are used to and any change in diet can affect performance. Speciality vet stores stock these brands.
