Construction boss donates uniform fabric to local churches
The mouth-watering smell of sosaties, pancakes and other foods filled the air.
SCHOEMANSDAL – Jubilation was all over the faces of members of three different churches who congregated under one tent last Sunday as a business guru donated fabrics to make uniforms.
Archbishops Simon Madlopha (Prayers of Christ Church), Themba Kunene (Buhle BeDamaseku Church) and Meshack Tshuma (412 Worshipping Church) each happily received a roll of fabric from Mr Simon Shata Shokane, of Samsokol Enterprises, with the colours of their respective congregations.
The fabrics were used to design the Zion church uniforms. Shokane, who employed a massive number of locals in his construction company, said he was touched by the need of God’s children for proper uniforms.
“I preach unity among churches.
“That’s the reason why I chose to give equal gifts to all. I believe in giving since I am a Christian myself,” he said.
The mouth-watering smell of sosaties, pancakes and other foods filled the air.
“We thank Shokane and believe God has already blessed you and your entire family.
“Special thanks to Ms Shokane who represents the strength behind her husband at all times,” said Madlopha, before everyone sang and danced vigorously to feast lavishly afterwards.
