Rapper strives to make his mark
Rapper, singer and songwriter, Bonginkosi Maseko, popularly known as King B, was born in Barberton and is an emerging hip-hop artist striving to make his mark in the music industry.
His new single, titled “Polo Vivo,” which features Big Nuz’s Danger, Mabala Noise Lad and Jay Spitter, who also was born in Barberton, has received praise and is gaining radio airplay.
While growing up, he won cyphers and rap battles which lay the foundation for his music career and building a fan base.
“I rap in siSwati and English. I also write my own songs. Music has always been my passion as I started singing in church when I was a child,” said the humble musician.
The rapper said he looks up to skhanda pioneer KO, AKA, Cassper Nyovest and Lil Wayne. He will soon be releasing his debut album titled, Sanibonani that will include “Polo Vivo” and “Skipasome”.
He will release an EP prior to the album.
