Bazaar raises welcome funds for local church

The Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk Barberton held its annual grand bazaar on Saturday at Coronation Park. According to Eureka van Dyf, of the church, the purpose was to raise funds.

People, mostly members of the congregation, came in numbers to support the event. Various stalls were set up and sold items such as meat, fruit and vegetables.

“This is an annual event, and all proceeds raised from the sales made on the day will go towards the church,” said Van Dyf.

Meanwhile, this coming Sunday, the church will welcome the new minister, Dewald Kruger.
The event will take place at the church, which are situated at 123 Sheba Road. Kruger will replace Rev Petrus Dreyer.
