Women of AME Church donate toys and groceries to disabled children

The Mpumalanga and Gauteng branches of the Women's Missionary Society, of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, donated groceries and toys to the Thembelihle Cerebral Palsy care centre, which is situated in Emjindini Trust, on Saturday.

This was after the organisation had hosted its annual conference at the Barberton Town Hall.

According to Seipati More, first vice president of the society, the purpose of the outreach was to help non-governmental organisations with various needs.

“Normally in our evangelical spirit, during our outreach, we identify any centre and look at their needs and then come to donate during our yearly conference,” she said.

More committed themselves, that as a church, they will come again with a big donation.

Ennie Masita, the centre manager, thanked the AME church for the donation and briefly explained how she started the centre.
