Wondrous women of White River: Bonita Toerien

It is said that no man can drive a forklift like Bonita Toerien.

She has been a warehouse manager for about five years now. “It all started when I was employed as the PA at the same company. After a few months I finally got the job,” she said.
“My role as warehouse manager is important because I have to take care of the warehouse stock and staff. If we at the warehouse do our job properly then our branches will perform better. We have many responsibilities like distributing correctly and same when we receive stock from suppliers.”
“I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. My mother always said that if you want something done, you have to do it yourself and not wait for a man to help you nor do it for you.
“Women do have a place in the industry, as long as they have an active mind and body and are not scared of dirt.
“Stay strong and women are capable of doing anything.”
