White River resident dies 40 days after husband

Brave and courageous through her pain, Deeks was able to find something to smile or laugh about and turned to the Lord daily.

Just over a month after Hall Deeks passed away, his wife, Patricia went to her last resting place.

Many dear friends in the Lowveld will remember Trish’s love of flowers, gardening, painting and pottery. Her favourite place in the world was the Kruger National Park looking for animals and birds.

Brave and courageous through her pain she was able to find something to smile or laugh about and turned to the Lord daily. We all know that you are reunited in heaven with each other, darling Mum and Dad. We were blessed to have you for so long.

She is survived by five children, Jayne, Penny, Phillipa, Jeremy and Jake, her grandchildren Vaughn, Julian, Nathan and Noel Jayden, Jethro and Bridget, Jarrod, Christopher, Fynn, Elouise and Nakita. A private cremation and a memorial service will be held at the home of her daughter Penny in Brooklyn, Pretoria at 15:00 on September 16. A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, White River on Tuesday September 12 at 15:00.
