Morning tea gives moms and girls an excuse to dress up
Inspiration, a variety of fabulous items and delicious food was on the menu at Riverview Prep's morning tea last Saturday.
MALALANE – Mothers and daughters looked elegant and gorgeous in fabulous dresses, creative hats and frills during Riverview Prep School’s Shabby Chic morning tea on Saturday.
The pupils, their mothers, grandmothers and friends sipped on tea or fruit-infused water and snacked on towers of delectable teatime treats.
Mr Jill Granville of PRH was the guest speaker, and inspired the women to empower themselves. She told them that there is no manual for motherhood or a perfect way to be a woman. Only by working together, seeing the best in others, and appreciating everyday acts of goodness can you stay on the right track.
She invited the women to come and visit her practice in Air Street to find out about the courses she presents.

Guests browsed the variety of stalls with home decor, arts and crafts, books, jewellery and could even have a quick massage.
The girls could have their faces painted by older learners, make and decorate a beautiful angel from a paper plate or decorate a cookie, among other fun crafts.
To raise extra funds, a raffle was held with great prizes up for grabs, and the best- dressed lady and girl were chosen.
A photo booth also provided a lot of fun, and the guests had a great time creating everlasting memories captured on film.
The event was such a success that the women stayed well past the end of the formalities, still chatting, browsing and taking photos.
Riverview Prep would like to thank all of the sponsors for their contributions, and the organisers and all their helpers for their excellent efforts.
