Major roadworks on N4 through Onderberg almost done
Much of the roadworks between Komatipoort and Hectorspruit will be done by the end of the month and completed sections opened to traffic.

HECTORSPRUIT – The major roadworks between town and Komatipoort will be concluding by the end of the month, with completed sections being opened to traffic.
TRAC stated that minor roadworks will continue but that they anticipate no stop-and-gos.
This will hopefully improve the safety and traffic flow on this stretch of road.

However, the extensive upgrades on the Mozambican side of the N4 will continue until the first quarter of 2018.
Six bridges are being rehabilitated between Ressano Garcia and Moaba, with two permanent stop-and-gos in place. Delays of about 15 minutes are expected at these stops.
TRAC reported that the upgrade of the N4 in Maputo (MDC sections 19 and 20) are running smoothly. This project includes works between the Shoprite Centre intersection in Matola and the 16th of June circle in Maputo and the construction of one additional lane in each direction.
The rehabilitation of the pavement and widening of seven structures is expected to be done by the end of 2018.
There will be no lane closures, as this is one of the busiest sections of the N4 managed by TRAC. Lane deviations and partial closures of intersections will result in speed restrictions, which may affect traffic flow.
