Bus attack suspects appear before the court for the first time

All five suspects including Kgaogelo Moime who appeared alone on Thursday, will reappear again at Mecklenburg magistrate court on April 12.

PRAKTISEER –  The four suspects arrested for the gruesome  murder of six mine workers at Driekop on Monday night have today appeared at the  Praktiseer’s magistrate court. The suspects allegedly torched  the bus  that was ferrying workers to Modikwa Platinum Mine.

The four  suspects were arrested on April 4 ,  Sipho Khumalo (28)  from Driekop village, another suspect is  Aubrey Remos Tjie (35)  from Driekop village, he  was arrested   at Riba cross.

The other two suspects are Thabo Mokgala (33)  from Sehlaku village, he was arrested  at Mandagshoek and Philimon Makwana (34)  from Leolo village. Makwana was arrested  at Mohlake area.

The above mentioned suspects are facing charges of six counts of Murder, attempted Murder and Malicious Damage to Property. They  were all remanded in custody until April 12 for  a formal bail application.
