UPDATE: N4 still closed at Ngodwana due to chemical spill

MBOMBELA – The N4 is still closed due to an accident near Elandsvally. TRAC spokesman Solange Soares Nicholson said there was a mixed load. the product that was spilled was not hazardous. “The others are contained.”
MBOMBELA – The N4 will be closed due to an accident near Elandsvally involving two trucks and a vehicle. One of the trucks involved in the accident has spilled lime latex, diesel and sugar accross the road.
Three people have been reported to have sustained serious injuries and one person with slight.
According to TRAC spokesman Solange Soares Nicholson they are busy with a clean-up crew. Motorists are advised to use the Schoemanskloof route. The road will be closed for a length of time. Lowvelder will update as soon as more information becomes available.
