If you were hoping to receive a couple of free SPAR vouchers we have some very disappointing news for you.
A message promoting a fake competition for free SPAR vouchers has been circulating on WhatsApp and Instagram this past week.
According to SPAR’s Facebook, they confirmed that the message is indeed fake news and a scam.
Many Lowvelders received this message with high hopes of receiving a voucher, however, the competition is unrelated to SPAR was indeed a hoax.
Exact details of how the scam works are not known but readers are encouraged to be vigilant and not click on any of the links provided.
“This account is in no way affiliated with the SPAR brand. Please do not enter any competitions through this account or give them any of your personal details.” SPAR’s Facebook alert reads.
