Crime round-up for the past week in the city
Divergent Ops reported that its team arrested two people in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The team spotted the two suspects walking with metal rods in the city centre. Jacques Meiring said they confronted the suspects, who admitted to stealing the rods from a premises down the road.
“The one suspect had nine items of clothing on him, including dresses that he had also stolen from one of the roadside stalls.”
The team caught another two suspects over the weekend. “We received information from our informant about two people trying to break into a business premises. As we responded the suspects fled. We gave chase and caught them near Samora Machel Drive.”

Hi-Tech Security Nelspruit’s operations manager, Callum MacPherson said suspects had broken into a home in Steiltes last Wednesday. “They had thrown the goods through the sliding door, shattering the glass everywhere. Our team, made up of Chris Stapelberg and Lars Christensen, managed to retrieve most of the goods.
“Over the past weekend Claude Basson from our response team arrested a suspect with house-breaking equipment in his possession. He noticed the man in Mostert Street and when he approached him the suspect ran. He gave chase and captured the man and discovered all the equipment in his possession.”
