Theft out of vehicle hotspots in Mbombela

MBOMBELA –   Nelspruit Concerned Citizen’s John Meintjies said the previous month, there was a definite decline in cases, but the past week has seen an increase.

“This past week, there were 22 cases reported around the city.”

He said the targeted areas were in the city central after 16:00.

“In all the shopping centre parking areas. We find they happening in the late afternoon between 16:00 until around 21:00.”

He added that people should not leave valuables in their vehicles in plain sight. “Physically check that your vehicle is locked and be aware of your surroundings.”
