Another cold weekend heading to the Lowveld

Just when you thought that Spring has sprung, another cold weekend is expected for the weekend.

MBOMBELA – The South African Weather Services (SAWS) warns that even though it seems like spring has sprung, you shouldn’t pack away your winter clothing just yet.

A cold front is expected to make landfall in the interior of the country tonight.

According to Vanetia Phakula, a senior forecaster at the SAWS, a high pressure system will push the cold front inland, causing the temperatures to rapidly drop on Saturday.

Phakula said that it will gradually start to subside on Sunday, and temperatures are expected to reach the highs 20s again on Monday.
