UPDATE: Murder suspect remanded in custody
His co-accused, Sicelo Zulu (28), committed suicide after his girlfriend, Zanele Zwane, was reportedly missing.
BADPLAAS – The remaining suspect in the murder case of a 28-year-old woman, who went missing on December 29 and was found buried in a shallow grave at Schoeman Farm, was denied bail.
Thulani Sibanyoni (25) appeared in the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on Monday facing a charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Sibanyoni was remanded into custody pending his formal bail application on Thursday.

Zwane, from Nhlazatshe, was last seen after she told her family that she was going to visit her estranged boyfriend, Zulu, at Schoeman Farm.
She was never seen nor heard from again.
