Penryn continues to give to Beira

You can also assist by donating items or money at the school or at their drop-off points at both i'langa and Riverside malls.

There was great delight at Penryn on Wednesday when they sent a second truck full of collected goods to victims of Cyclone Idai in Beira.

This was a continuation of the #PenrynforBeira initiative. The initiative was started by students from Mozambique who are attending school at Penryn and who wished to help their fellow Mozambicans.

Another truck will also be leaving Penryn with donations on April 25 with Woolworths donating a lot of their stock to the cause.

“We are deeply touched by the outpouring of generosity from our Penryn family for the victims of the cyclone. As a result of the Penryn community’s collective efforts, we are happy to report that we filled a nine-ton truck to the brim with food, clothing, blankets, sanitary products and heart-felt messages of love and support for all those affected by this tragedy. Together we can continue to make a big difference for the victims of Cyclone Idai,”

Penryn’s marketing manager, Penny Smith, previously said.
