Hazyview Comprehensive School held its matric dance at Ingwenyama Conference and Sports Resort on Friday October 4.

The event started at 12:00, when attendants left in convoy from Lundanda grounds near Mahushu Station.

The idea of travelling in a convoy came from grade 12 learner, Wandile Trevor Sehlabela, and all went very well because officers of the Mbombela traffic department were present to manage the traffic. The original transports and vehicles used astounded the community and teachers. The official photographer, Phias Nkosi from Sand River Trust, had a ball clicking away from the start.

At the event, the grade 12 learners were addressed by several speakers who gave them advice and motivated them for the future.

Hazyview Comprehensive School principal, Sibuso Max Mashele urged the class of 2019 to put more effort to their studies and not to give up easily, since they should do well in the coming exams. He told them that the school was expecting a 100% pass rate from them and that their parents also deserved to be proud of them.

He further asked them not to forget their parents once they were done with school.
