At approximately lunch time on the same day the Tracking Team had managed to trace the suspects’ vehicle to a house in the Mkhluhlu township.

After a search the animal was found in the boot of the vehicle. Both men were charged with possession of an endangered animal.

While on the scene the Tracking Team received information that an owner of a nearby chicken farm allegedly owns an unlicensed hunting rifle.

On the team’s arrival at the farm, the owner gave them permission to search the premises. A 375 high calibre  hunting rifle was confiscated and the owner arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm.
