On the prayer day they prayed for the smooth running of the exams, parents, learners, teachers and the leadership of the department, asking for outstanding results.

Ehlanzeni District mayor, Jesta Sidell urged the grade 12s to have a vision.
“Where the is no vision, people lose self-control and there is lack of discipline. Where there is no discipline, there is no commitment to greatness,” she said.
“The greatest gift that God gave man is not a gift of sight, but the gift of vision. Vision is the reason learners stay in school and study.

“God says I show you the end from the start, therefore, if you know where you are going, you will know what friends not to keep. You should observe your friends and decide should we keep them or not, because you know where you are heading to.

“Vision dictates the books you read, people you hang out with and places you go to. If you see your destination, it controls your decision-making and disciplines your decision-making. You are stuck with your brothers and sisters, but you can choose your friends.

“This places you at the centre and makes you very important, individually and collectively. The world needs your gifts and talents,” she said.
The national Department of Basic Education will announce the results on January 8, 2020 and the province will announce the results in Gert Sibande District.
