The foundation provides the tools to young girls to shape their future

Thembelihle Mjaji-Mbatha has a string of achievements to her name.

Thembelihle Mjaji-Mbatha is chairman of the Mbombela Municipality Audit Committee, Mpumalanga Public Works Committee, the Lowveld South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Mpumalanga Charter of the Water Institute of South Africa, winner of the Top Empowerment Young Achiever of the Year 2019 and Oliver Tambo Public Sector Award and finalist of the Accountancy SA 35 under 35 top SA CAs 2019.

 

Not content to rest on her laurels, the driven businesswoman is keen on imparting this knowledge to young girls in areas where the need to resource and equip them has been identified. Her mission is to achieve this through the launch of a foundation which will cater to these needs.

A big part of the foundation’s mission is hosting dignity pack charity drives to schools in KaNyamazane, Mbombela and the neighbouring areas. Her efforts are in aid of grooming girls for leadership through education, hygiene and finance. The Mjaji-Mbatha Foundation will officially be launched in November this year.

The main aim of the foundation is to provide young girls with the tools to shape their future and provide career guidance to ensure they succeed in their endeavours to carve out successful careers on completion of their secondary schooling.
